Sculptor's Spotlight - "Thundering Silence"

Thundering Silence by Paul E. Shier

"Thundering Silence" was created to honor the brave, heroic and the proud so that their deeds, lives and their memories will survive forever.

Taking nearly three years and over 1000 hours of emotion guiding my hands, I hope the memorial does justice to whom it honors.
For 2008, I will be participating in a number of prestigious art shows in the area. Please click on this link to view the web site for the Friends of Bon Echo Park exhibition. More events will be posted as I receive the information.
I have been given the distinction of participating in an international symposium and art exhibition in Florence, Italy in December 2007.

Damaged art returned from the Florence Biennale 2007.

Has anyone that attended a Florence Biennale used the Punto System and had art returned damaged in shipping? If so did you have any problems being reimbursed for the damages?

I paid the Punto System to have three sculptures packaged, shipped and insured from Florence to Canada. One sculpture was broken during packaging or shipping and now the Punto System and the Florence Biennale are only willing to reimburse me One Fifth the value of the sculpture and both think that is fair.

I signed a contract and it did not state anywhere in it that although you have to pay the full amount that they only have to pay one fifth in return.

I was wondering if anyone else has had similar problems and if so did you have any better luck dealing with them and how. I would appreciate any help.

Thanks, Paul.
Ps. I do not think I will attend the Florence Biennale 2009 because of this.
