I was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and during my younger years I always enjoyed art. Interested in many mediums I would sketch, paint or sculpt. At the age of 12 through public school, out of all in my grades in Ontario, I won second place for a painting which was displayed at the C.N.E. in Toronto. I became interested and enjoyed nature at a very young age due to both of my parents' love of nature, which is greatly reflected in my art. Sketching and painting were my preferred mediums until my mid twenties when I started sculpting hard woods, which was very interesting and looked beautiful left natural. Working with hard woods mostly for the next twenty years, almost all my carvings were designed by myself and were one of a kind. During this time I experimented with other mediums; copper, steel, glass, paints and soft woods alone or incorporating different mediums together. My mother, being a "rock hound", influenced me in becoming a rock hound and led me to try sculpting stone. I have been working with stone now for eight or ten years for the most part but still enjoy wood and other materials. I have sculpted soap stone, marble, cement and many other types of stone man made or natural into a wide variety of subjects. I sculpt anything from dragon flies to full size human and I always try to do different subjects with each new project. My art is proudly displayed in many homes and businesses in Canada and the United States.
